PKF Latvia

SIA PKF Latvia is a licensed commercial company of sworn auditors, which provides audits, accounting, due diligence of companies, as well as other consulting services to companies operating or wishing to start operations in Latvia.


The company was founded in 1991. PKF Latvia (its original name - ACS) was a business consulting company at the beginning of its operations, but audit services have been our main activity since 1997.

PKF Latvia is a capital company owned by Latvian sworn auditors.


The main emphasis in our work is the quality of services provided, which, in our opinion, is based on:

    high professional competence of partners and employees, which is constantly improved, significant involvement of the responsible partner in the performance of each task, teamwork, the ability to establish and maintain good human contact with the client, which promotes mutual trust.


Our clients are mainly small and medium-sized private companies that need an audit of financial statements or a limited audit service, that want to use external accounting services or that need professional advice at various stages of business development.


As a small company, we are able to respond quickly to customer needs and offer individual service. We have established stable and long-term relationships with many Latvian companies, international customers and appreciate the trust of our regular customers.


Since 1997, PKF Latvia has been a member of PKF International Limited, a network of legally independent companies.

PKF Latvia

SIA PKF Latvia is a licenced certified auditors’ company providing auditing, accounting, due diligence and other consultative services to entities operating or willing to start operations in Latvia. PKF Latvia is a company owned by Latvian certified auditors.


Our priority is service quality, which, as we believe, is based on:

  • a high level of professional competence of partners and staff which is continuously developed, 
  • a significant involvement of a partner in each engagement, 
  • teamwork, 
  • continuous improvement of processes and methods, using the possibilities provided by modern technologies,

Our clients are mainly small and medium sized businesses requiring an audit or a review of financial statements, willing to outsource accounting function or requiring professional advice throughout various stages of business development. Our audit services are used also by medium and large state and municipal capital companies.


Being a small firm, we are able to respond quickly to client needs and offer individual service tailored to the client’s requirements. We have established long-term relationships with many Latvian companies and international businesses and appreciate the loyalty of our clients.

Our team

Aija Punāne

Aija Punāne is a PKF Latvia audit partner since 1997. Aija has managed audit projects of clients of different sizes and industries, with particularly extensive experience in manufacturing, trade, various professional services, health care services, transport and forwarding.


In 2004 Aija received her master’s degree in business administration from Riga International School of Economics and Business Administration.



Since 2009 Aija is a member of Audit Consultative Council at the Ministry of Finance of Latvia delegated by the Latvian Association of Sworn Auditors.

Maruta Zorgenfreija

Maruta Zorgenfreija started to work at PKF Latvia as a business consultant. Since 1997, the main focus of Maruta's professional activities is the auditing of financial statements as well as tax and financial advisory services.


In 2000 Maruta was awarded an MBA degree from the Riga Business School at Riga Technical University, in 2002 she became a member of ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants), and in 2005 - a Latvian certified auditor. In 2007 Maruta was awarded the professional designation of Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and since then is a member of Latvian Institute of Internal Auditors.


Maruta has an extensive experience of providing audit and consulting services to small and medium sized entities including Latvian subsidiaries of international groups. Her interests also include financial due diligence and tax advisory work. Maruta’s experience covers a variety of sectors with an especially profound insight into the real estate sector, construction and project management services, manufacturing, trade, transport, education services. Maruta has also managed audit projects for medium and large state and municipal companies.


Maruta also delivers professional training seminars on audit and accountancy matters.

Currently, Maruta is an expert of the Latvian Association of Sworn Auditors in the field of quality control of work of auditors.
